National PA Week

Held every year from Oct. 6-12, National PA Week is a celebration of the PA profession. PAs across the country use National PA Week to increase awareness of the PA profession. Get involved with your student society or PA program to help your community understand what a PA is and what we will be doing as practicing professionals.

National Oral Health Initiative

The Oral Health Initiative was brought to the forefront of the PA profession by the hard work of PA students, in particular Peggy Walsh. Peggy, a Baylor PA student at the time, worked with Stacey Donovan from the Washington Dental Service Foundation on developing some “project in a box” ideas related to oral health.¬† The idea has since taken off. The PAEA and AAPA are among some of the national PA organizations that are looking to pick this project up and start distributing oral health boxes again.
